Pupil Chaplaincy

St. Mary’s has a dedicated team of 18 Pupil Chaplains who have a key role to play in developing the Catholic life of our school.

Each chaplain has to apply for this important job and is interviewed by the Headteacher. Our Pupil Chaplains are easily identified in school as they wear a purple sash.

The role of the Pupil Chaplain is high profile and some of the tasks these pupils carry out include welcoming new pupils and staff to our school, leading collective worship, Mass and other liturgical events. They also organise fundraising Initiatives. Currently Ms Reeves and Sr Dolores lead the Pupil Chaplaincy team.
