EYFS (Nursery and Reception)

Early Years Foundation Stage

The DfE suggest that EYFS children complete 3 hours of home learning every day; however, the amount of time your child dedicates to these tasks each day is completely up to parents’ discretion.

Your child’s class teacher will inform you of your child’s tasks via Tapestry. You will receive a daily learning task sheet linked to Communication and Language/Literacy and Mathematical Development. You will also receive a weekly learning task sheet each Monday with additional learning tasks. Please upload your child’s completed work to Tapestry for your child’s class teacher to view and comment.

We are aware that parents/carers may need help or guidance from members of staff. The ‘Video Guides’ section of our Home Learning page will help to explain some questions you might have. However, if you still need to contact your child’s class teacher to ask a question about one of the home learning tasks, please do so via Tapestry. If you are unable to access Tapestry, please email office@stmarysdenton.com. Your child’s class teacher will get back to you as soon she can. Teachers will only respond during the usual school hours: Monday to Friday 8.55am – 3.15pm.
