Home Learning /

KS2 (Year 6)

The DfE suggest that KS2 children complete 4 hours of home learning every day; however, the amount of time your child dedicates to these tasks each day is completely up to parents’ discretion.

Your child’s class teacher will inform you of your child’s daily English and topic tasks via Google Classroom and Maths tasks via Class Dojo.   You will also receive a weekly learning task sheet each Monday with additional learning. Please upload your child’s completed learning tasks to Google Classroom (English and topic) or Class DoJo (Maths) for your child’s Class teacher to view and comment.

We are aware that parents/carers may need help or guidance from members of staff. However, if you still need to contact your child’s class teacher to ask a question about one of the home learning tasks, please do so via Class DoJo. If you are unable to access Class DoJo, please email office@stmarysdenton.com. Your child’s class teacher will get back to you as soon she can. Teachers will only respond during the usual school hours: Monday to Friday 8.55am – 3.15pm

If you have any urgent queries or questions that do not relate to home learning tasks, please email the school office office@stmarysdenton.com or telephone 0161 336 3322.
