St. Mary’s took part in Safer Internet Day 2017 yesterday to highlight the the dangers of the internet and to inform us of how we can stay safe. After taking part in lessons and activities in class, each class then presented to the rest of the school and parents what they had learnt. Year 1 said a rhyme to advise us to ‘tell our mummies’ and made informative posters; year 2 led us in an acrostic poem entitled ‘Be Safe’; Year 3 advised on what pictures to publish; Year 4 gave us detailed information and posters about staying safe; Year 5 performed a poem entitled ‘Highs and Woes’ which highlighted both the good and bad sides of the internet and Year 6 performed some sketches explaining the pitfalls of posting pictures online and what children should do.
