Year 2 had a fantastic time learning about Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong on Tuesday morning through their time travelling guide. The children thoroughly enjoyed acting out the port of Genoa. sleeping on the sheep and meeting the natives of the new world. They were then able to apply this to what they know about Neil Armstrong and how the two explorers were very similar despite being many years apart. In class we have also been able to link this to our learning about Captain Cook. Following the session the children were all made honorary time-travelers.
