Operation Christmas Child

This year, each of our classes has chosen a charity to support throughout the year.  Class 1C have chosen ‘Operation Christmas Child’ and have set themselves a target of making 200 Christmas shoeboxes to help children in Eastern Europe have an enjoyable Christmas.

The children have decided to organise the collection a little differently this year. Each week, over the next four week period, they will collect nominated items from different gift categories.  The children will then put all their collections together and make up as many shoeboxes as they can.

The collections are as follows:

Mon 23rd Sept – Educational Items – pens and pencil, notebook and stickers.

Mon 30th Sept – Personal Care Items – children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste, flannel, sponge, soap, shampoo etc

Mon 7th Oct – Toys – soft toys, tennis ball, finger puppet, jigsaw, trucks and cars, dolls

Mon 14th Oct – Other Items – sweets, gloves, scarves, sunglasses, bangles etc.

Items can be brought into school at any time during the week.

Please note: all gifts should be new and cannot include any war related items, chocolate or novels.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity.
