Y3 Weather and Climate

In Geography, Year 3 have been learning all about weather and climate.  Over the past few weeks, we have been spending a few minutes each day recording the weather in our daily weather diaries, to see if we could spot any patterns or changes. This week, we found out more about why the weather is like it is. The children learnt about how the world is divided up by the equator, the tropics and the poles and what this means for our global weather system. They also had their first so far in Year 3 at using atlases, in which they had to locate different countries around the world and think about what the weather might be like there, using their learning and the knowledge that they have gained in this topic so far.
