Tameside Consultation on Admission Arrangements for 2024-25
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is carrying out a consultation on the proposed admission arrangements for schools in the borough for admission in September 2024.
The consultation is being carried out by the Council, as admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools, and the consultation including details of all the changes can be accessed using the following link: https://www.tameside.gov.uk/schools/admissions/2024consultation
The consultation proposals includes:
- To reduce the Published Admission Number at Hyde Community High School from 240 to 210
- To reduce the Published Admission Number at Denton Community College, from 330 to 270
- To update the definition on home address where parents have shared responsibility each for part of the week.
- To improve the wording to ensure alignment with the Admissions Code for ‘Admission outside Normal Age Range’
