Teaching Assistant Level 2 (EYFS Specialism)

Part-time (TTO) 35 hours per week – Fixed term contract to 31.08.2026
Salary: Grade D Pt 7–10 (£20,444 – £21,695 FTE)
Start Date: 1st September 2025

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 2) with a specialism in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and caring school where children are at the centre of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences in the EYFS setting.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Contribute to the observation and assessment of children’s progress.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.

Person Specification

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has experience working in an EYFS setting.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Is nurturing, patient, and adaptable in their approach.
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND and/or communication needs.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with children and adults.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Is supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.
