During the Autumn term, whilst studying World War l, the pupils in Year 5 took part in an exciting project with the Arts Council called ‘Denton Remembers’.
They worked with a community artist and a local poet over a number of weeks to design and
produce a Poppy Plaque to commemorate the thousands of soldiers that died during the war. Their fantastic plaques, and the work they produced in their log books, were displayed in a tent during ‘Armed Forces Day’ which took place in Victoria Park on Saturdy 27th June.
Thank you to all the pupils and parents who came along to see their work on display!
