No doubt parents are acutely aware that the current building work at the end of Kynder Street has compounded an already difficult car parking and congestion situation. Clearly, this has had a negative impact on yourselves, the children, residents, school staff and the parish community. I have spoken to the Council and the police about the matter. They council have agreed to discuss the matter at the next PACT (Police and Community Together) meeting. This meeting will be attended by local councillors and I urge you to express your individual concerns to the councillors in an attempt to seek a positive resolution to this potentially very dangerous situation.
For the safety of the children and adults walking to school, please do not park on the yellow zig zag lines outside school. Please be extra cautious when driving in the area around school. We have had numerous reports of cars mounting the pavements which is extremely dangerous for all concerned.
