The children of F2 have had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day, what a fantastic array of characters! The children loved sharing their costumes and favourite stories.
We have had a range of fun activities running throughout the day. Every class in the school had a special story time, where another teacher from our school visited our class to read one of their favourite stories. Mrs Farrell visited our class and shared a fantastic story with us. We also joined in with the whole school silent read in the afternoon, where we dropped everything, sat down and read some of our favourite books. Even the teachers brought their books to school!
In our classroom the children enjoyed several fun activities. We designed our own bookmarks, created our own character masks and wrote about our favourite characters. We also enjoyed some drama as we acted out the characters in our current class book, Commotion in the Ocean.
We love books at St. Mary’s!
