In EYFS our young learners have all been very engaged by our recent “Space” theme. In F2 we have been spending time designing and making rockets in a variety of ways. We have looked at lots of photos of rockets in books and on the computer. We have taken time to design our rockets, thinking about what we want them to look like. We have used lots of different materials: using 2D shapes, junk modelling, using various construction materials indoors, plus using the tyres and crates outside. We have even used musical instruments to give our rockets some fantastic sound effects!
