Here in F2 we have had an exciting present in our classroom from Santa himself – a special book called The Christmas Bear by Ian Whybrow. In the story, The Christmas Bear gets left behind in Santa’s workshop and has to travel many miles to catch up with him in his sleigh. The children have made maps to help the Christmas Bear to find his way. We also decided to design and and make some new vehicles for the Christmas Bear so that he would never be left behind again!
We have also been learning about the journey of a letter. We learned about what happens when we post a letter or a card and have enjoyed being postal workers in our post office role play area. We decided to take a trip to our local post box to post our vehicle designs to Ian Whybrow to pass on to the Christmas Bear.
